We love it when our weddings are published! We would like to take this time to congratulate Lyndal and Daniel on their Wedding Chick feature! This was one amazing wedding with an overflow of glamour and southern sophistication! With a bridal party decked out in all white, who wouldn't love this wedding! We would like to thank our amazing vendors to contributed their time and ideas in making this wedding a huge success! Mariee Ami did an excellent job in planning and making sure no details were spared! Be sure to check the link below to view the gallery and congratulations again to this deserving couple!
This was surely not your average courthouse wedding! Who knew a federal building could be so beautiful and have such amazing natural light! Castles and Thomas were married last week in the presence of an intimate group of close friends and family. This is the first ceremony for the couple and this summer, they will have a larger wedding in the Philippines. After Thomas & Castles exchanged vows, we took advantage of some of the downtown scenery for some amazing photos. This is one of my favorite weddings this year and I'm so excited to share some photos! We hope you love them and congratulations to Thomas and Castles!
Don't you just love a sneak peek? Well, so do we! We couldn't wait to share some photos from this weekend's amazing wedding! After a threatening Winter storm on Friday, the weather was all smiles on Saturday for Jason and Emily's big day. The sky was blue, the temperature was a bit nippy, but that wasn't anything a fur coat couldn't handle. The wedding took place at one of our favorite churches' in Birmingham, The Cathedral Church of the Advent. After the couple exchanged vows, everyone headed to the reception at Vestavia Country Club where Emily was the life of the party! Everyone danced, twirled and sang along to some of her favorite songs including her custom playlists. Check back for more photos from this awesome wedding and congratulations to Emily & Jason!
This weekend was extremely sentimental seeing our former intern, Sally marry the love of her life! Sally worked for Arden Photography for years and has officially become one of our favorite people on the planet. We've watched her journey through college, leave her hometown and become a resident of another state and now marital bliss. We are so excited that Sally found her Prince Charming and we couldn't be more thrilled about the opportunity to share this amazing day with them. Congratulations to Rob and Sally!
The first look has always been one of my favorite photographs of the entire day. They're always a little unpredictable; I mean, some brides run into the arms of their groom, some grooms leap with excitement and then you have moments like this. These are the moments photographers live for- a groom so overwhelmed by the sheer beauty of his bride that he is literally brought to tears. This is my photo of the week for obvious reasons and for many more. Sarah and Jeremy are one of the sweetest couple's I've known. From the initial shoot during the engagement portraits, I absolutely fell in love with this couple. Sarah has the sweetest voice and I noticed how attentive Jeremy was throughout the day. So, I actually wasn't surprised by Jeremy's reaction to seeing Sarah for the first time because his response was also my response. You did it Sarah! You were so beautiful that you moved us all to tears! What a privilege to be apart of such an amazing day!
The skies were certainly smiling on Katie and Chris's perfect day! The weather was picture perfect and so was our beautiful bride! Katie and Chris were married at Bluff Park United Methodist Church. Our family has known Katie for quite a while and it's always exciting when I have the opportunity to photograph a family event. After the ceremony, everyone gathered at Windwood Equestrian for the couple's reception. During the reception Katie and Chris delighted everyone when a Krispy Kreme donut display was revealed! After dancing, mingling and cutting the wedding cakes, a helicopter awaited the couple to send them off on their next destination. Congratulations to Katie and Chris, we wish you a lifetime of happiness!
The week before Heidi and Joel's wedding could be described as a pre-lude to Noah's Arc. It was the most rain the area had received all year. But, something remarkable happened- the morning of the wedding the rain stopped and we realized that we were surrounded by the most beautiful and greenest grass I've ever seen. Could this be Ireland? No, it was Windwood Equestrian but for a moment it could have been mistaken for the twin sister of the country with plush meadows and vibrant woodlands! It was the perfect backdrop for the perfect couple! This was such an enchanting evening and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day; a day filled with plenty of laughter, a Crimson Tide video highlight and one of the most popular bands around-Act of Congress. We are so thrilled to share a few of our favorite photos with you. Congratulations to Heidi and Joel!
From the bridal portraits to the engagement session and now the wedding. It's been a wonderful journey getting to know Barrow and Michael as a couple. We've know Barrow for years because we photographed both of her sister's weddings. She comes from such a wonderful family and we've had such an amazing time over the years simply because we love the Kettig celebrations. Barrow and Michael were married at The Country Club of Birmingham in the presence of a small group of family and friends. After the wedding, more guests joined the couple for a fun-filled reception. We were thrilled to be apart of another Kettig wedding and we really wish they had more daughters for us to photograph! Congratulations Barrow and Michael!
We're so excited for warm weather and blue skies! It's officially Spring and we couldn't think of a better way to start the new season than taking a stroll through our beautiful city on a picture perfect afternoon. Heidi and Joel will be married in few weeks at Windwood Equestrian but they chose the city scape for their engagement portraits. From Morris Avenue to the amazing view underneath Vulcan, this sweet couple could not have chosen a better day! We're so in love with their photos and we couldn't wait to share a few with you. Congratulations to Heidi and Joel, we're counting down the days until April 25th!
"I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes." ~e.e. cummings; Lacey & Ben were married on a picture perfect January afternoon at Dawson Memorial Church. I've been working with the sweet couple for a few months and I knew from the engagement session that this wedding was going to be amazing. We were surrounded by beautiful florals and blue skies throughout the day. The couple said their vows in the presence of family and close friends and guests were treated to traditional southern food during the reception. Congratulations Lacey and Ben!
Everyone is so enthusiastic about Jersey Belle, especially our brides! I ran into Maggie, one of our Arden Photography brides, and she was so excited! We can't wait until her amazing wedding on December 6th and we really appreciate you supporting the show!
Britton and Blake were married at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Mountain Brook, Al. St. Luke's is such a beautiful church to have as a backdrop for wedding day! The wedding party was such a delight to photograph and Arden Photography enjoyed getting to know them as well as Britton and Blake's families. After the ceremony the wedding party joined the newlyweds on a trolly to celebrate and journey to the reception at Ranchos De Las Aguilas. Meghan Cease did an amazing job (as usual) at creating a stunning night for the two! The night was full of love, dancing and even TWO impromptu singing performances by guests. Congratulations Britton and Blake, we cannot wait to see what life has in store for the two of you!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Fall! It’s officially here! Windwood Equestrian is the perfect backdrop for Fall portraits. This week, I had the pleasure of photographing Austin and Jake. Windwood will be the location for their wedding next year, so we decided to take advantage of the beautiful scenery for their engagement photos. Here are a few of my favorites! Congratulations Austin & Jake, we’re counting down the days until next September!
Between Lena’s beauty and the obvious chemistry between her and Ziad, these images came out stunning! After taking a glance at this session you won’t want to miss out on seeing the big day so be sure to visit us again on Wednesday!
I know you have all been waiting to see the wedding ceremony..well here it is! Monica looked stunning as she was escorted down the sandy isle by her father and nephew, Aryan. Love and joy surrounded the couple as they began the next journey in their lives together.
As we count down the days until Arden and William’s wedding, Arden Photography had the opportunity to celebrate with Arden and a few of her closes friends. These images have made us just that much more excited for Saturday!
Lauren and Dennis were married in Sea Island, Georgia at The Cloister. Lauren’s elegant gown was from Ivory & White while The Cloister and Maren White did an amazing job with food, flowers and decor. Arden Photography had an incredible weekend with both the Adair and Goldasich families. Everyone was full of energy and personality!
Here is a sneek peek into Gina and Chris’s unforgettable evening. Gina was dressed in a beautiful Monique Lhuillier gown. The reception was held at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and this magnificent evening would not have been such a success without Kathy G. & Company. The flowers were beautiful and the catering delicious!
